Supporting Growth: Process-Based Supervision

Objectives:

Participants will explore "hot spots" in supervision:

• What does "continuous attention to process and respect" mean?
• Using process to enhance supervision and your practice
• Resistance: Supervisee and clients
• Balancing agency needs and supervisory tasks
• Ethics and boundaries in supervision

This 3-hour continuing education workshop (can also be expanded to 6 hours) will take participants from the basic understanding of the difference between "content" and "process" to more effect use of the approach and interventions.  The "Process-oriented" approach to supervision enhances your effectiveness in working with supervisees, clients, self and others.  The expanded time frame allows many opportunities to observe and practice process skills.  Useful update for AAMFT/LMFT to meet their requirement for renewing their supevisory qualification.
