Course Title:

 Practice Friendly Supervision

Objectives:

Participants will receive a CEU Certificate of completion if he/she :

  • Participates in discussions of supervision issues and concerns
  • Role-plays with one another and/or the trainers as a means of internalizing the intellectual content
  • Becomes familiar with models of supervision
  • Understands the co-evolving relationship dynamics between therapist-client and supervisor-therapist-client
  • Addresses contextual variables such as culture, gender, ethnicity, power and economics
  • Becomes familiar with ethical, legal and regulator issues of supervision
  • Understands the role of evaluation in supervision

 

Here’s your opportunity for personal and interactive training on supervision in a small group. We provide intensive, individualized training geared toward making supervision a safe and growth-filled experience for supervisors and supervisees. The two-day (16 hour) training is interactive and process-oriented, utilizing role-plays to explore the dynamics of supervising a myriad of typical and difficult supervisee situations.

 

This training meets the Florida Department of Health, Medical Quality Assurance requirements for becoming a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Interns.
