Ethics & Boundary Issues for Mental Health Professionals Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Differentiate between law and ethics, morals, values, personal ethics and / or professional ethics
  • Discuss ethical dilemmas, traps and pitfalls faced in participant's professional areas of practice
  • Learn how best practice can alleviate negative impacts on clients and one's own career and clinical practice

Our clinical interventions spring from our theoretical orientation and are focused on the best interests of our clients. Case examples are used to facilitate the exploration of common ethical issues and potential boundary crossings faced by clinicians in a variety of health. mental health and social service practice arenas.

This course meets and Illinois' requirement for an Ethics and Boundary course for all mental health professionals and is designed for professionals of all levels of experience.
